Tripoli-Sana
The Libyan National Army confirmed that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has transferred weapons and multinational terrorists to Libya to fight alongside the Al-Wefaq government led by Fayez al-Sarraj.
"The Erdogan is responsible for the spread of terrorism in Europe because Turkey has sent thousands of armed militia elements from Ankara to fight in Tripoli," Libyan media quoted General Ahmad al-Masmasari, a spokesman for the Libyan army, as saying at a press conference today.
"We monitored the arrival of Turkish weapons, sea and air, to Tripoli during the ceasefire period. We also monitored the installation of an air defense system at Mitiga airport and the landing of hostile forces from Turkey."
Al-Mismari pointed to the presence of Libyan anger against sending Turkish forces to Libya, noting that the demonstrators closed the oil ports after ignoring their voice against the Turkish invasion.
On the other hand, Al-Mesmari affirmed that "the Libyan forces are fully committed to the ceasefire while violations were recorded by the Al-Sarraj militias," noting that the Libyan National Army has the full readiness to respond to the violations and will not compromise the sacrifices of the Libyan people.
Since 2011, NATO witnessed a state of chaos and lawlessness in light of the proliferation of weapons and terrorist organizations, while two major parties are currently contesting the authorities: the Al-Wefaq government led by al-Sarraj and the government operating in eastern Libya supported by the House of Representatives in Tobruk and the Libyan army. Led by Haftar.
