Al-Miqdad for the delegation of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization: strengthening the unity of the Palestinian ranks to confront the American and Zionist attacks

Dr. Faisal al-Miqdad, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, affirmed that the Palestinian issue will remain the main issue for Syria, pointing to the necessity of strengthening the unity of the Palestinian ranks to confront the American and Zionist attack on them.

Al-Miqdad stressed during his meeting today a delegation from the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization headed by Azzam Al-Ahmad that the Palestinian issue will remain the main issue for Syria despite the many Western pressures and the unjust terrorist war that was launched on it to deflect it from it.

The Deputy Minister praised the militant stances of the Palestinian people who expressed their joy at the release of the heroic Syrian prisoner Sidqi Al Mukt from the occupation prisons without restriction or condition, wishing the release of all Palestinian prisoners and detainees.

Al-Miqdad condemned the recent Israeli attacks on the door of mercy in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing the necessity and importance of strengthening the unity of the Palestinian ranks to confront the American and Zionist attack on the Palestinian issue.

For his part, Al-Ahmad reviewed during the meeting the aggressive practices of the Israeli occupation towards the Palestinian people by continuing the policy of annexation and settlement and the destruction of Palestinian homes.

Al-Ahmed affirmed that the Palestinian people stand with Syria as a people, army and leadership because of its support for the causes of the Arab nation, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause, expressing optimism that Syria will recover sooner than terrorism, because that will undoubtedly also be in the interest of the Palestinian cause.

On the Palestinian side, the meeting was attended by Wasil Abu Yousef, member of the Executive Committee of the Liberation Organization, head of the Popular Organization Department, Ahmed Abu Hawli, member of the Executive Committee of the Liberation Organization, Mahmoud al-Khalidi, ambassador of the State of Palestine in Damascus, and Dr. Samir Al-Rifai, member of the Central Committee of the Fatah movement and Anwar Abdel-Hadi, director of the office of the Political Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization In Damascus.

On the Syrian side, the meeting was attended by Ambassador Milad Attia, Director of the Department of the Arab World, and Osama Ali, Director of the Office of the Deputy Minister and Yamen Badr from the Office of the Deputy Minister.
