A 22-year-old boy was killed this morning after colliding with his vehicle in a rock on the edge of Highway 90 near the Dead Sea Works. An MDA team arriving at the scene of the accident found the young man unconscious with a severe multi-system injury, and determined his death.
MDA paramedic Brian Ben David said: "When we arrived on the scene we saw the driver of the vehicle trapped in his vehicle unconscious and suffering from a very serious systemic injury. At the same time as the fire fighters' rescue operations we performed medical examinations, he was without signs of life and we had nothing left but to determine his death on the ground. "
Last Tuesday, a man in his 50s was killed in a head-on accident between a private car and a commercial vehicle on a mouse bridge near Safed. In the accident, his two sons who were with him in the vehicle, aged 12 and 13, were also injured and were evacuated by MDA personnel to Ziv Hospital in Safed in moderate condition.
