The Libyan National Oil Corporation announced that the General Command of the Libyan Army and the Guard of the Oil Facilities Guard in the central and eastern regions halted oil exports from the ports of Brega, Ras Lanuf, Al-Harika, Zuaitina, and Sidra.
The Foundation clarified in a statement today quoted by the Al-Wasat portal website that instructions for stopping exports were issued to the departments of Sirte Oil Company, Al-Harouj Oil Operations Company, Al-Waha Petroleum Company, Al-Zwaitina Oil Company, and the Arabian Gulf Oil Company, which are subsidiaries thereof.
The Foundation pointed out that stopping the export from these ports would lead to losses in the production of crude oil by 800 thousand barrels per day in addition to daily financial losses estimated at about 55 million dollars.
