Alexei Pushkov, head of the Media Policy Committee of the Russian Federation, confirmed today that Russia is not changing its policy to please anyone.
Commenting on US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's statements that Washington's policy toward Russia will not change due to changes in the Russian government, Bushkov said in a Twitter post reported by Sputnik that "Russian foreign policy also during the era of the new government will not change in a direction that satisfies the United States."
"The American side can wait for reciprocity from Russia," Bushkov added.
Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a decree appointing Mikhail Vladimirovich Michaustin as Prime Minister and Dimitry Medvedev as deputy head of the Russian Security Council against the backdrop of the proposals put forward by Putin and included amendments to the constitution that would lead to important changes in the balance between the branches of the legislative, executive and judicial branches.
