A report issued by German media group Fonke revealed today that the European Union intends to reduce aid to the Turkish regime against the backdrop of its continued aggression on Syrian soil and illegal drilling of gas off the coast of Cyprus.
Since last October, the Turkish regime has launched aggression against a number of cities, villages and towns in the countryside of Hasaka and Raqqa, which has led to the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of civilians, including children, women and workers in the service sectors, and significant material damage to service facilities and important infrastructure such as dams and power and water stations.
According to the report, the European Union intends to further reduce aid, by which 75% of the planned allocations will be canceled by this year, according to a letter from the European Union's foreign policy commissioner Joseph Burrell to the European Parliament.
In addition to its aggression on the Syrian territories, Erdogan's regime confirmed its continuation of gas exploration activities off the coast of Cyprus, despite international positions denouncing this and warning against taking them forward, while many international parties stressed that these actions constitute an attack on the sovereignty of Cyprus.
