Occupied Jerusalem-Sana
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry called on the United Nations Children's Fund "UNICEF" and all the relevant councils and international organizations to stop violations of the Israeli occupation and its crimes against Palestinian children and implement international laws that criminalize the terrorization, detention and torture of children.
The Foreign Ministry indicated in a statement today carried by Wafa News Agency that the arrest of the 10-year-old child Zaid Yassin from the village of Anin, west of Jenin, last night is a clear violation of international humanitarian law, pointing to the presence of hundreds of Palestinian minors in the detention camps of the occupation suffering from the worst forms of torture in an explicit violation International law and the Geneva Conventions.
The Foreign Ministry made it clear that hardly a day passes without the occupation forces arresting dozens of Palestinians, children, women, and students from schools and universities, including worshipers in places of worship, calling on the international community not to treat the arrests as regular and familiar events and to pay attention to the great suffering of the Palestinians as a result of them and work to stop them.
