Al-Rahmon explained that the various police units in the ministry will, in cooperation with the judicial police in the Central Bank, conduct intensive patrols in the markets to monitor companies and stores, with the aim of seizing persons who deal outside the Syrian pound with a crime that is proven to hold them accountable and apply the provisions of the law to them.
Al-Rahmon added that the ministry has allocated two numbers to receive citizen complaints "2211001" and "2211002", indicating that any information received with the utmost seriousness, scrutiny and complete confidentiality will be dealt with to pursue the violators.

And Al-Rahmon indicated that licensed exchange companies are not subject to the provisions of Decree No. 3, noting that all those dealing in dollars will be prosecuted through sales or services provided to citizens.
Today, President Bashar Al-Assad issued Legislative Decree No. 3 of 2020 amending the second article of Legislative Decree No. 54 of 2013 related to prohibiting dealing other than the Syrian pound as a means of payments and Legislative Decree No. 4 of 2020 to amend Article 309 of the Penal Code issued by Legislative Decree No. 148 of 1949 and its amendments.
