Today, the first semester exams began in public universities for the academic year 2019-2020, according to what was determined by the university calendar issued by the Higher Education Council and will continue until the twentieth of next February.

About 650,000 male and female students are attending examinations, according to Dr. Riyad Tayfour, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Student Affairs, indicating in a statement to SANA that the Ministry has circulated its instructions in this regard and allowed a number of colleges that contain large numbers of students and intensive study materials to start two or three days before an appointment Specified exams.

The Ministry indicated that in the event of a mistake from the monitors, the student submits a formal complaint to the college administration without provoking a riot in the hall or friction with any of them so that he is not referred to the Discipline Committee confirming the prevention of leaving the exam room before half an hour has passed since it started and before taking the inspection of the entire students in the hall .

Dr. Fatina Al-Shaal, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Damascus said that more than fifty thousand students applying for exams in the college are distributed in 41 exam halls and over three sessions per day, each one hour and a half hour, indicating that 75 percent of the college exam questions are automated and 25 Traditional percent assured that corrections begin immediately with the end of each subject in all 14 departments of the college.

Dr. Al-Shaal pointed out that the halls were provided with invisible cameras for students to control the exam process, in addition to a sufficient number of monitors, whether they were employees or graduate students.
