In the remote villages of Konana province in western Angola, the Israeli embassy staff has recently distributed three tons of flour sacks to local residents.
In the province that lies on the Namibian border, there is severe famine due to the drought that lasts for three years. In addition to the severe suffering of humans - many of whom left the area - tens of thousands of cows also died of hunger and thirst.
Israeli Ambassador to Angola Oren Rosenblatt, who himself distributed some of the flour sacks funded by the Foreign Ministry budget, was accepted in singing and dancing, and the residents expressed deep gratitude to the State of Israel for the mobilization.

"In these new years, Israel is sending a message of solidarity from Israel - which is a semi-desert country - to the inhabitants of the desert province lamenting. And we feel the pain of those who need food, "the Israeli ambassador said.
In his remarks, Rosenblatt mentioned the three fathers' journeys mentioned in the Bible in search of food to break hunger. The Israeli contribution has been extensively reviewed in the Angola media.
It should be noted that on the point of operation, the Israeli embassy is working with the Angolan government to resolve the long-term drought and flood problem in the province of Conna.
