However, it will turn cloudy on the fourth day of the year and it will be cooler in the morning and evening. The observatory said that the northeast monsoon will continue to affect the coast of Guangdong in the next day or two. There will be sunshine for a short time from Monday (20th) to Wednesday. There will be a shower or two at the beginning of Wednesday. There will be fog along the coast at night and the temperature will range from 18 degrees to 24 degrees.

Afterwards, affected by a warm and humid ocean air, the coast of Guangdong was foggy on Thursday and Friday (New Year's Eve), with temperatures ranging from 20 to 25 degrees and high humidity, 75% to 100%. The Observatory expects that the northeast monsoon will affect southern China from the weekend to the beginning of next week, and Hong Kong will become significantly cooler and rainier.

The Observatory expects a few rain showers in Hong Kong from the first of the year to the third of the year and it will turn cloudy by the fourth of the year. The temperature also changed significantly from the second day of the new year (26th), from 19 to 22 degrees on the first day of the year to a minimum of 16 degrees. On the third and fourth days of the year, the temperature dropped below 20 degrees, ranging from 15 to 18 degrees. The lowest temperature in the morning in Sheung Shui, Tuen Mun, Sha Tin and other places is only 12 or 13 degrees.
