13-year-old boy in Tuen Mun hit by light rail

At about 6.47 pm today (20th), a fatal traffic accident occurred in Chung Uk Village, Tuen Mun. A 13-year-old boy riding a bicycle reportedly collided with a train when he passed a junction at the LRT Zhongyacun Station. The ambulanceman arrived and immediately sent the boy to the hospital. However, after arriving at the hospital, he was eventually killed. As seen at the scene, a sign indicating "Cyclist gets off" stands in front of the pedestrian crossing.

A 13-year-old boy driving a bicycle was reportedly hit by a train while passing by a junction at the LRT Zhongyacun Station. The ambulanceman arrived and immediately sent the boy to the hospital. However, after arriving at the hospital, he was eventually killed. As seen at the scene, a sign indicating "Cyclist gets off" stands in front of the pedestrian crossing. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.

A similar traffic accident occurred on December 17 last year. An 11-year-old boy was suspected of being knocked down by a light rail and trapped under the light rail at Xinwei Station of the Light Rail Transit. He was rescued quickly and consciously sent to hospital for treatment.
