Syrian engineer Fadi Walid Farhah ranked first in the year 2019 as the best student among the international students studying at Beijing University of Science and Technology in China.
Fadi, a PhD student at Peking University, made it clear in a statement to SANA that his obtaining this rank came based on the published research papers and the activities that he participated in, in addition to the rate and his participation in a number of activities such as the cultural ceremony held annually at the university, where he shared with Syrian students at the university offering things about History of Syria, public introduction, and participation in the 70th anniversary of the founding of China with a number of foreign students.
Fadi published four research articles in international journals and participated in a number of international conferences.
Fadi emphasized that the name of Syria was not absent from international forums and international competitions, as the Syrians were able to achieve their energy and creativity to achieve excellence, expressing his pride in belonging to Syria, the land of civilization.
Fadi believes that the Syrian student is generally educated, educated, and well-mannered, adding: “We have never felt that we are the lowest level of students coming from developed countries .. Of course we still have a lot to learn, such as the concern of the Chinese student who does not know fatigue or students coming from countries with advanced education techniques But we have the ability to learn quickly, to compete and to achieve the best results. ”
After completing his doctorate, Fadi aspires to return home and teach at the University of Aleppo and complete the path of scientific research there with new colleagues and new students who have the desire to build modern Syria and to be a contributor to the reconstruction of Syria, either with the help of students or working on projects that serve the country.
Fadi concluded his talk to SANA by saying: “We have to trust ourselves and what we learn. The world is changing rapidly and the number of researches published globally in most fields is increasing day by day.
Fadi Farha was dispatched by the University of Aleppo to Beijing University of Science and Technology in China in 2013 after graduating in 2009 from the Faculty of Information Engineering and receiving the first rank in the Department of Computer Systems and Networks.
