The Lebanese President, General Michel Aoun, discussed with the Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasbin the local, regional and international developments.
Zasbkin explained that during the meeting, Aoun was informed of his country's position on developments in the Middle East and a number of countries in the world, and expressed to him Russia's solidarity with Lebanon and its friendly people and the wishes of the Russian leadership to develop the conditions in the country for the better.
The two sides also discussed, according to the ambassador, ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries, the issue of the return of the Syrian refugees to their country, and the Russian position in support of this return.
