The Iraqi Prime Minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, affirmed that Iraq is continuing to establish friendship and cooperation relations with all neighboring and friendly countries on the basis of mutual respect and implementation of the House of Representatives decision to withdraw foreign forces from its territories.
A statement of Abdul-Mahdi's office, reported by Alsumaria News, stated that the latter stressed during his reception today Italian Defense Minister Lorenzo Gorini the importance of respecting the sovereignty, security and stability of Iraq, pointing to the decision of the House of Representatives to withdraw foreign forces and the position of the Iraqi government and its policy to build balanced relations in the Arab, regional and international surroundings.
