Lebanese President Michel Aoun issued a decree this evening to form a new government headed by Hassan Diab, which includes 20 ministers, including 6 women.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that “the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Cabinet, Mahmoud Makiya, announced that Aoun and Diab signed the decree forming the new government in Baabda Palace,” indicating that tomorrow the first meeting of the new government will be held tomorrow.

Diab said in a press conference shortly after the formation of the government that the new government will work to fulfill the Lebanese demands to fight corruption and recover the looted money and will work to translate it on the ground, describing this government as "a government of specialists who do not establish an account except for the interest of the country and are not affected by politics and its struggles and search for a promising future in their homeland." ”

Diab added that the ministers of this government are an exception and a rescue team that can only make effort and give, calling everyone what he called "a workshop to revitalize the country."

The new government includes twenty new ministers, Zeina Akkar, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, Nassif Hatti, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ghazi Wazni, Minister of Finance, Muhammad Fahmy, Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Raymond Ghajar, Minister of Energy and Water, Talal Hawat, Minister of Communications, Raoul Naama, Minister of Economy and Trade, and Mary Claude Najm as Minister of Justice Minister of Labor, Manal Abdel Samad, Minister of Information, Ghada Shraim, Minister of Displaced, and Vartini Ohanyan, Minister of Youth and Sports.

Saad Hariri submitted his resignation from the presidency of the Lebanese government on the 29th of last October, after 13 days of continuous protests in various Lebanese regions over the deteriorating living conditions.
