Migrants and National Guard throw stones at the border

These are dramatic images of the moment of the clash between dozens of migrants with Mexican officials, police and military on the border between Guatemala and Mexico. The videos recorded when some migrants threw stones during the confrontation, but also when some agents of the Mexican National Guard did the same in response. The National Migration Institute of Mexico said about 500 migrants entered Mexico's territory irregularly across the Suchiate River. According to a statement from the INM, 402 migrants were rescued and 58 more would have gone into the jungle and are being sought by the INM Beta Group; and added that another 40 people returned to the Guatemalan side of the border.
