Dozens of Mexican National Guard officials repelled the new caravan of Central American migrants who tried to cross the Suchiate River on the southern border of that country with Guatemala. Most of the group is made up of Hondurans seeking to reach the United States to apply for asylum. The Mexican government has reiterated that the entry into its territory will only be done in an orderly and safe manner.
