Wuhan airport and railway stations will be "temporarily closed" for passengers leaving the city. It is unknown when the service will return to normal.
Authorities advised residents not to leave Wuhan unless they have a "special reason."
The outbreak in China has alerted the global health authorities, as it is known that the virus can be transmitted from person to person, and the large flow of tourists for the Chinese New Year causes an alarming concern, since patients were already detected in Thailand, South Korea, Japan, the United States and more recently the president of Mexico said there is a possible case in the country.
