The meeting of Prime Minister Eng. Imad Khamis with the Iranian Minister of Education Mohsen Haji Mirzai and the accompanying delegation this evening dealt with ways to improve the level of coordination and cooperation between the two countries in the areas of economic and social development, education and the development of human cadres and optimization of their investment.
Engineer Khamis indicated that the Syrian state paid special attention to providing the requirements of human development and addressing the consequences of the terrorist war that tried to distort the moral and cultural values of the Syrian youth as the government was keen to rehabilitate schools in areas liberated from terrorism and develop a system of scientific research and provide the requirements of vocational education in its various branches explaining the importance of strengthening Cooperating with friendly countries in the field of exchanging experiences and knowledge and establishing joint activities that will enhance the culture of fighting terrorism for future generations.
In turn, Merzai praised the steadfastness of educational institutions in Syria despite the attacks of armed terrorist organizations against them and their insistence on combating terrorism by spreading knowledge and science between generations once again, his country stands with Syria in its development plans and its desire to push cooperation in developing educational curricula and expanding horizons of scientific research in all fields.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Education Imad Al-Azab and Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Qais Khidr.
