Iraqi President Barham Saleh affirmed today that the Iraqi parliament’s call to withdraw American forces from the country is a natural reaction to the violation of these countries’s sovereignty.
Saleh stressed in a speech during the Davos Economic Forum, according to what the Iraqi News Agency quoted "conscious" on his country's rejection of American threats to impose sanctions on his country to take a decision to protect sovereignty and stability in Iraq.
The Iraqi Council of Representatives voted on the fifth of this month, by an absolute majority, on a decision obligating the Iraqi government to end the foreign presence in the country after the American crimes against high-level Iraqi and friendly military headquarters and leadership.
Saleh also mentioned Iran's role in combating the terrorist organization ISIS, noting that his country shares geographical links with Iran, water resources, and the economy with Iran.
