Last updated: 2020-01-23 23:08V Muraleedharan, Minister of State of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on January 23 that an Indian nurse at a hospital in Saudi Arabia had been diagnosed with Wuhan pneumonia and was the first Indian to be infected with the new coronavirus. Saudi Arabia has not released any relevant information for the time being.
V Muraleedharan noted that too about 100 Indian nurses, mainly from Kerala, had been tested and confirmed that one Indian nurse was infected with the new coronavirus. The patient is currently being treated at Aseer National Hospital.
