Japan ’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare said on Friday (24th) that there was a second confirmed case of Wuhan ’s new type of coronavirus pneumonia. The patient is a 40-year-old man from Wuhan who has visited Tokyo and is currently being hospitalized for observation.

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare said that the patient lived in Wuhan and started a fever on the 14th of this month. He had seen a doctor on the 15th and 17th, but was not diagnosed with pneumonia. He traveled to Japan last Sunday (19th) and went to see the doctor again on Monday (20th). He still found pneumonia.

Until Wednesday (22nd), due to symptoms such as persistent fever and sore throat, he went to the hospital for medical treatment and was suspected to be infected with pneumonia. He was then admitted to the hospital. He was diagnosed with Wuhan pneumonia at the early morning of Friday (24th). Received treatment at a Tokyo hospital.
