It is said that there is no cost to happiness and who said you have to spend a large amount of money to be happy? Renovation and redesign of just two rooms in a veteran home in the Northern Resilience community by interior designer Yelena Dmitriev has left a couple of parents and their children incredibly happy and all with a modest budget and the effect of a dramatic makeover.

The housemates wanted to redesign the room for the young boy who enlisted in the army and turn the daughter's room that had flown out of the nest into a guest room where she could stay with her husband and little daughter whenever she wanted. The colorful rooms that glowed with phosphorescence were fashioned in the old-fashioned style and required end-to-end change.

"In the first phase, I learned their needs and desires," says Dmitriyev. "We created a program, inspiration board (project concept), color scale and budget. It was important for me to go into the smallest details to understand what they really like, from the colors they connect with to their favorite films. In the end, I created a contemporary style space with maximizing conditions The space and functionality I designed and designed carpentry items with a lot of focus and spacious work space .To avoid investing in infrastructure, we chose smart TVs. The goal was to allow open and covert storage and to keep as minimalist and clean as possible to allow space and airiness in a space Cozy with cozy and inviting padding that fits in with the items Stable. The room has undergone painting including the wooden ceiling. Changing the colors, furniture, textile use and accessories has transformed the room into something else, contemporary in style, suitable for the soldier and can be relevant and used in the future. The concept chosen for the guest room was the magical forest - Magic Forest. "I wanted to create an atmosphere connected to nature that would bring in peace as a substitute for the walls in bright and tiring orange. The goal was to simulate through the lighting body chosen the feeling as you enter the forest, looking up and between the trees the sun penetrates the forest creating an impressive light effect. Scalloped birds decorate the wall and continue the unique atmosphere of Yael Halomi. Through carpentry we also created storage and work space solutions.

Yelena concludes that one can always create a new and interesting design world with creative thinking even on a limited budget. "Choosing a lighting fixture and repainting it or choosing other raw materials without compromising the created look and atmosphere. Tenants' happiness reflects how much seemingly small and focused change can create a big effect."
