Following the unveiling of the new Eilat complex, whose cornerstone was laid the other day in front of the old airport, Israel Today has learned that the complex also has a first Michelin-starred restaurant in the country, and probably the first Zappa club of its kind in the city.

This is a five-star boutique hotel with 155 rooms, with Rooftop, managed by Brown, as well as 223 apartments. The complex was designed by architect Yehuda Feigin, and Brown signed a 25-year management contract with Kerel Holdings worth NIS 180 million. Among the buyers of the project are entertainer Israel Katorza and tennis player Andy Ram.

Avi Karel, founder of the Karel Group, told Israel Today that "The hotel, including the Brown 42 complex, is not only a refreshing change, but a project that is level to change the city. I grew up in restaurants and still have restaurants like 'Casa de Brazil' "The veteran. We do not see the opening of new restaurants in Eilat, but in our complex there will be six restaurants."

"We signed a contract with chefs Oliver Firas and Alessandra del Fauro, owner of the AGA restaurant. This is a Michelin-starred restaurant from the Dolomites, Northern Italy region, which I knew when I went skiing in the Alps. Both worked for leading chefs in France and Italy. "The Michelin star. They are the top chefs in the culinary world. They were here to see the project and wanted to open their restaurant here. This will probably be the first Michelin restaurant in the country."

The hotel will have "kosher lunch" which will allow for espresso serving on Saturday. The food will be kosher but more liberal than the rabbinate, so the music can be played on Shabbat. The restaurants outside the hotel will not be kosher.
