Aleppo-Sana
Today, commercial, popular and cultural events in Aleppo participated in a campaign that made us proud of us by distributing consumer and ration materials and cultural books to citizens with different Syrian coins at low prices in support of the Syrian pound.
Ahmed Halawani, director of the bakery in which the initiative was initiated, pointed out that the initiative constitutes a message to the world in the cohesion of the Syrian people, their support for the economy of their country, and the encouragement of all commercial activities to contribute to initiatives and relieve the people of their plight and confront the economic war.
In the Jamiliyeh neighborhood and within the Syrian Chamber of Commerce, a kilo of meat was distributed at half the value, along with a kilo of sugar, to citizens in an initiative of a meat dealer.
The owner of the initiative stated that a kilo of lamb meat is sold at half the value in four halls of the Syrian Arab Republic to trade with a kilo of sugar for a period of two days and the amount of 2300 kg in order to support the Syrian pound in the face of the economic war facing Syria and contribute to alleviating the burdens on citizens and helping them to shop.
In the National Library of Aleppo, a number of writers and poets presented their literary, scientific and intellectual products from various books in addition to a wide variety of books developed by the Directorate of Culture and the House of Books for sale with various coins in order to encourage reading and support for the Syrian pound.
Mohamed Hegazy, Director of the National Library of Books, pointed out the importance of supporting this campaign, which aims to provide the book at low prices to readers, and thanked all the writers and researchers who gave their intellectual and creative products and made them readily available to readers in support of the cultural movement.
A number of citizens expressed to the SANA correspondent their thanks for these initiatives, which helped them, even partially, to market their needs, noting in turn the restoration of the Syrian pound and contributing to the support of the national economy.
