Al-Khatib pointed out that the work extends over a large historical area starting from 1933 until 2017 in addition to the events that were met by Bishop Kebugi from the Nakba and the setback and the October liberation war in addition to the events of Lebanon and then the war on Syria, indicating that Kebugi continued to fight for his homeland Syria even when he was An exile in Italy supporting his people, army, and homeland.

On the most important difficulties that the work faced, he made it clear that the production of any historical dramatic work faces the difficulty of finding places of photography that must be close to reality, especially if the work carries many events and times that required a period of arduous preparation and careful follow-up to the smallest details to overcome all obstacles.

Al-Khatib, who will finish filming next week, explained that the agreement with the production establishment included filming a movie with the series, as the duration of the film will be two hours, with the possibility of translating it to be shown around the world.

The star Rashid Assaf, who embodies the personality of Bishop Kabouji, made it clear that the artist’s performance of a real character is difficult, especially like that of the Bishop who reached the stage of legend, a contemporary figure whose owner was able to embody the state of true resistance and the struggle that will remain in memory.

Assaf expressed his pride in performing this patriotic character, which he considered a distinctive imprint in his artistic career, as it came after a journey in search of a real human and national situation to present at this time, stressing that Bishop Kibouji represents a large part of our militant history and the embodiment of such personalities is a national duty.
