At the end of the three-year global expectation of the Trump administration's "Centennial Plan" - "Israel Today" became known by senior sources in the US and Israel. Three years after it began its preparation, and a year since its writing, US President Donald Trump has confirmed The White House Peace Team, led by his son-in-law Jared Kushner, is to publish next week the main political chapter of the program, which is intended to bring peace between Israel and the Palestinians. The program launch ceremony is scheduled for next week in the US.

"Israel Today" has learned that the purpose of their visit to Kushner's country and its people - Special Envoy Avi Berkowitz and Iranian and Syrian Commissioner Brian Hook, is updating the Israeli leadership on the development that many implications for Israel and the region are expected. The three are due to arrive in Israel today (Wednesday) or tomorrow to attend the special events marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp. However, during the visit they will meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu and give him the remarks.

On the peace plan that won the "Century Deal," workers in the White House have since the Trump administration began its term. In addition to Kushner and Berkowitz, they played a major part in preparing the American ambassador to Israel, David Friedman and former special envoy, Jason Greenblatt. As part of previous peace processes led by the US, the team tried to break old perceptions both in the way the program was prepared, in its content.

Billions of investments in the Palestinian Authority

As part of the renewed approach, Kushner and his people formulated an extensive investment plan in the Palestinian Authority, which is supposed to bring about peace through economic means. These chapters of the plan were presented by the administration in Bahrain's Economic Workshop six months ago. However, Kushner made it clear at the conference that the implementation of the $ 50 billion investment plan is contingent on the implementation of the diplomatic section to be unveiled next week.

The US government has a continuing frustration that the political crisis in Israel has so far prevented the publication of the plan. Already during the first election campaign, a year ago, Kushner and his team were considering publishing the political chapter of the program. However, following comments in Israel that the presentation of the peace plan in the midst of the election campaign would be interpreted as an intervention in the democratic process, the government decided to wait.

After the second election, the government decided to wait for the political process to be exhausted in Israel. With the departure of the third election and a number of final preparations and co-ordinations that are ongoing these days, the administration has concluded that there is no point in waiting any longer. Among other things, the government is aware of the possibility that Trump will not win the US presidential election next fall and then the plan will be shelved even before it is published. In addition, the government is closely monitoring the political process in Israel and is aware of the viewers polls that will not be decided next round.

The government is no longer trying to convince the Palestinian Authority to join the political process. PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas and his people have been essentially boycotting the Trump administration since his presidency began and the White House is clear that they will oppose the plan. "Today Israel" has learned that Palestinian refusal has affected the contents of the program as well as various sections of it, probably in Israel's favor.

In the administration, they are very confident of keeping the contents of the political chapter of the "century deal" throughout the process of preparing the program and at this moment they say that "the number of people who know the whole program does not exceed one finger." However, it is estimated that the administration will allow the Netanyahu government to apply Israeli law in the Jordan Valley, as the prime minister has repeatedly promised.
Regarding the Palestinians, the administration is expected to support the establishment of a Palestinian state to a degree as well as the Palestinian capital around Jerusalem. However, these positions will be conditional on both parties agreeing to them.
