Lieutenant Colonel Natai Okshi will be appointed Lieutenant Commander of the Golani Brigade. Okshayi was a commander of the Eternal Judea Battalion, and received a platoon from the Southern Command in 2007, after taking over bare hands over a terrorist.

On July 21, 2007, a suspicious movement near the Gaza perimeter fence was identified. A force from the Golani Brigade's "Lightning" battalion under the command of the company commander, Nitai Akshayi (who was a captain at the time), jumped into the incident area, where he encountered two terrorists from a range of single meters. The company commander and the commander of the department, who were moving at the head of the force, stormed one of the terrorists, giving orders to the force.

The company commander then identified a second terrorist between him and his soldiers. The company commander ordered his soldiers to lie down and stormed toward the terrorist. During the onslaught, the bullets ran out of Nitai's weapon and with great resourcefulness, and at the risk of his life, he shot at the terrorist with bare hands. During his assault, he recognized that the terrorist was about to blow a spray grenade and grabbed the terrorist in a way that caused the terrorist to absorb most of the grenade spray. After the grenade explosion, and despite his injuries, he continued to hold on to the terrorist and fight him until the force soldiers stormed the terrorist and killed him. For this he accepted the command of the Southern Command's general.
