The Ministry of Interior: the arrest of a person who pays foreign exchange on the black market

The Ministry of the Interior announced that a person had been arrested for conducting foreign exchange on the black market.

The Ministry stated on its Facebook page that through follow-up and monitoring by criminal security patrols in conjunction with the judicial officer at the Central Bank of Syria, it was noted that a person is preparing a sum of money in foreign exchange at one of the shops selling curtains accessories in the Harika locality.

The ministry indicated that the aforementioned was arrested and found in his possession an amount of 18 thousand US dollars and a mobile device, and by mobile investigation, it was found that there were talks confirming that he had exchanged currencies on the black market, indicating that, by investigation, he confessed that he would exchange the amount in US dollars to the Syrian pound in the black market in order to achieve profit Physical.

The Ministry pointed out that the financial amount of the sources was handed over to the Central Bank of Syria until a judicial order is decided, as the arrested person will be duly presented to the judiciary.
