Mike Pence met Prime Minister at US Embassy in Capital • Earlier, Vice President visited Kotel • "The world must take a stand against Iran and anti-Zionism"
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Vice President Mike Pence are meeting at the US Embassy in Jerusalem on Thursday.
The meeting comes after the Vice President visited the Western Wall under heavy security along with Prime Minister Netanyahu.
During his speech at Yad Vashem, Pence said earlier: "We must stand firmly against the one government in the world whose policy is Holocaust denial and Holocaust denial, we must stand united against Iran."
The Vice President landed in Israel this morning and was greeted with a special ceremony at the airport. Foreign Minister Israel Katz welcomed Pence and told him: "I thank and welcome your arrival at a top-notch event. The friendship between Israel and the United States is stronger than ever and is based on shared values. The steps you have taken - President Trump and Vice President Pence to strengthen the relationship between the United States and Israel - are indicative of leadership and courage and we appreciate it. "Pence replied to Minister Katz:" We will always stand by you. "
