"I hope this is it. Hope I hear from the president today something good. That he will bring my daughter home to Israel," said Yaffe Issachar this morning, adding that "it is difficult to digest that a simple man like me will meet President Putin in this class.

Meanwhile, this morning, one by one, US Vice President Mike Pence and Russian President Vladimir Putin's plane landed. Yesterday, a Kremlin official said that Russian President Vladimir Putin, who landed in Israel this morning in honor of the leaders' conference, will today meet with Yaffe Issachar, the mother of Naama imprisoned in Russia for holding nine grams of cannabis.

Yesterday, Yesha Issachar testified that she was preparing for the fateful day and the meeting she is expected to join Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "I am in great tension, pressure and expectation," she said with great excitement, Yissachar, who was strengthened by the prime minister and the commander-in-chief. Ischachar continued: "I am waiting to hear the gospel that I and you have been waiting for so long." I was at the Kotel this morning, I was in Tel Aviv. "The sympathy I get made me cry. People on the street, some from Canada and California."

Against a backdrop of media reports, the caution is that there will be at least some reference to her case, if not the announcement of Naama's release. At the same time, this week, Minister Elkin and inter-ministerial staff met recently to form a package of gestures that will lead to the release of the Israeli young man, with the Russian ambassador to Israel, and senior officials from the Russian government, including the Deputy Foreign Minister.

At a meeting, following previous contacts between the parties, Elkin provided an update on the gestures Israel has taken and is expected to take. One step is to respond to Russia's request, to arrange the registration of Alexander's Church Church in the name of the Red Church, and there will likely be further steps later.
