From now to mid-February, 20 travel agencies and about 2,600 mainland tour groups throughout China have been cancelled, affecting 90,000 people. If the tour group is cancelled, the travel agency will deal with the terms of the tour report. At the same time, according to the regulations, the passenger may be charged a handling fee and a refund fee related to the designated transportation means, that is, the plane, train and cruise. In addition, since not all high-speed rail tickets are issued by MTR, travel agencies cannot return to the Mainland, so such high-speed rail tickets will not be refundable.
The Taiwan Tourism Bureau said it would temporarily suspend group tours to the mainland.
