Reuters quoted Thailand ’s Deputy Minister of Public Health Sathit Patucha as saying that the 33-year-old female patient came from Wuhan and went to Thailand on vacation. She arrived at Bangkok Airport with her 7-year-old daughter on January 21 and was not found sick when she entered. She sought treatment at a local private hospital and reported that she had fever, cough and muscle soreness. She was transferred to a government hospital on January 23. Her daughter is not sick.
Officials say the woman is currently being isolated at Rajavithi Hospital and her condition is improving.
There have been 4 confirmed cases of pneumonia in Wuhan in Thailand before. One of them was a local woman. It was the first local person in Thailand to have the disease.
