Two confirmed cases of Wuhan New Coronavirus Pneumonia have been recorded in Hong Kong so far. The other two were in isolation camp. Authorities are currently in contact with 18 passengers in the same high-speed rail cars as in the first case, which are "other contacts."

First case was admitted to hospital with close contacts

Wife of second confirmed case admitted to hospital

As for the second confirmed case, there were a total of 4 close contacts. The confirmed case had stayed at Royal Plaza Hotel in Sha Tin. The patient's wife and close contacts of a hotel developed symptoms and were admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital and Tuen Mun Hospital respectively. The remaining two were In the isolation camp, the two were medical staff and hotel contacts.

The HA can test by itself after the first reagent test in February

At present, the new type of virus testing is mainly performed by the Public Health Laboratory Service of the Department of Health. Zhong Jianli said that the Hospital Authority also hopes to perform the tests as soon as possible. The reagents have been booked. To test the effectiveness of the test, it takes time for the suspected case to be tested in the HA.
