Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab stressed the need for the new government to deal with the facts and draw up a map of action that meets the demands and needs of the Lebanese.
Lebanese Minister of Information Manal Abdel Samad said during a press statement after the first meeting of the committee to formulate the ministerial statement that Diab stressed during the meeting that the statement should move away from contradictory interpretations, or it would include loose promises, stressing that the government is facing the test of gaining internal and external confidence and that the statement will be implemented this time because there Serious at work.
Abdul Samad indicated that the new government still has 28 days before the legal deadline and said: “We are working quickly to finish preparing the statement as quickly as possible because the external and internal circumstances are pressing and the crisis is worsening.”
Last Tuesday, Lebanese President General Michel Aoun issued a decree to form a new government headed by Diab, which includes 20 ministers, including 6 women, at a time when Lebanon is still witnessing sit-ins and demonstrations since October 17 last year, to demand an improvement in the living situation and hold corrupt people accountable.
