France announced today the registration of the first two confirmed cases of coronavirus in the European continent, one near the capital Paris and the other in the southwest of the country.
Reuters quoted French Health Minister Aniyas Bizon as saying at a press conference that these two cases are the first cases in Europe, adding that other cases will likely appear in the country.
Bezone indicated that the first patient was transferred to a hospital in Paris for treatment, while the second case was in Bordeaux in the southwest.
It is mentioned that this virus is a new type of the Corona family that may cause harmless diseases in humans, such as the common cold, but it may be the source of deadly diseases such as SARS.
