Centre for Health Protection: Five confirmed diagnoses imported
The Centre for Health Protection stated that it was investigating three newly confirmed imported cases of new coronavirus infection, and currently five imported confirmed cases were recorded in Hong Kong. The Centre for Health Protection has set up a hotline 2125 1122 for individual cases, which operates daily from 8 am to 9 pm to answer public enquiries. As of 4 pm today, the hotline has received a total of 221 enquiries. Sixty Women in Wuhan Arrive in Hong Kong for Isolation Treatment
The first case was a 62-year-old female patient with good health history. She lives in Wuhan, Hubei Province. According to the information provided by the patient, she took the high-speed rail from Wuhan to Shenzhen North (G1013 train) on January 19, and then from Shenzhen North to Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Rail West Kowloon Station (G6543 train). She developed fever and cough since January 20. She went to the Accident and Emergency Department of Tuen Mun Hospital yesterday (January 23) for medical treatment and was admitted to the hospital for isolation treatment. Her condition is stable now. A patient's respiratory tract sample confirmed a positive response to the new coronavirus.
Virus-positive couple living in Wuhan arrived in Hong Kong via high-speed rail a few days ago
The remaining two cases were a couple living in Wuhan, a 62-year-old female patient and a 63-year-old male patient, both of whom had good health in the past. According to the information provided by the patients, they took the high-speed rail from Wuhan at 2:20 pm on January 22 and arrived at the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High Speed Rail West Kowloon Station at about 8 pm. The female patient started to have fever the day before, but had no symptoms of respiratory tract infection. The male patient started to cough the day before, and began to have fever yesterday. They went to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Prince of Wales Hospital the other day and were admitted to the hospital for isolation treatment. The condition is stable.
