The National Media Agency stated that protesters threw stones at security forces to protect the government house after removing the barbed tape and stripped the iron gate and concrete barriers, forcing the security forces to use water cannons and tear gas in an attempt to remove them from the place, noting that the confrontations intensified between the demonstrators and the elements of the forces The security forces, with protesters insisting on entering the government house and firing firecrackers at the security forces.

The agency drew a number of injuries as a result of the intensification of confrontations and the insistence of the protesters to continue throwing water bottles and stones at the security forces, which intentionally pursued the protesters and removed them from the markets and central Beirut and from the entrances to the House of Representatives.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces called on the protesters to abandon the riots, attack the elements of the Internal Security Forces and leave the Riad al-Solh Square to preserve their safety.
