The sport of weightlifting in Salhab Sports Club has emerged remarkably during two decades because it contributed to the graduation of distinguished players who achieved remarkable results with our national teams in foreign championships.

If the series of players who learned the arts of the game and its principles in Salhab Club began with the golden quadrant of my age, then they followed up with other players to reach the female sport, which has been silently strongly in the local and foreign tournaments during the last ten years.

The coach of our national team and the supervisor of the game at Salhab Club, Mohamed Rachha explained to the Sana Sports Reporter that the club is distinguished from other clubs that play the game by having successive generations who love this sport and want to practice it until we find members of entire families, male and female, who come to the Safa Training Center in Salhab Club to practice The game is a desire of them to learn and participate in local and external tournaments.

Rasha pointed out that there are more than 150 male and female players currently playing the game in the club, starting from the age of five years and above in both male and female categories, indicating that the club's training center is training young children on light weights and movement technology while following all the means and methods that develop their talent and cultivate in them. Our national team coach pointed out that all men and women who want to play the game and learn its arts at the beginning of the matter, their ambition later is to represent the national teams in the external championships because most of the players and players of the club participate externally, which develops a spirit of competition among them, explaining that our national team who recently won the title of the championship Arab in Jordan in all age groups included ten players from the club out of 20 players.

And Rashh indicated that Salhab Club alone represents the Hama team in the local championships and they are the champions of the republic for more than 20 years in all male and female groups except for the men category, adding that the club provided dozens of men and women players to the national teams who have been externally marked, such as Majd Hassan, Ali Al-Hazaa and Leith Al-Hakim And Ali Jadid, Ali Abboud, Ali al-Daya, Mohsen, Muhammad Jarish, Muhammad Sa`oud, Muhammad Ahmad, Uday Alishi, Soraya Sobh, Hanin Ihsan, Nagham Rasha, Mary Jaghili, Bushra Muhammad, Helen Mohsen, Siham Sa`ud and Salwa Saleh.

On the difficulties facing this sport in the club, Rashe pointed out that it is represented in the lack of financial support to play the game where coaches and players work without any material compensation, and that the club's training center works with modest capabilities and old equipment and it needs to be replaced and there is no doctor or physical therapist for the lifters and the quadrants. Also, the nutritional supplements that a quadruple needs to keep fit are not enough.

For his part, Al-Rabbaa and the coach of the club of youth club Ahed Jaghili said, "The game will remain an important sport in Syria that achieves distinguished results externally." Indicating that Salhab Club is interested in the game and has an administrative and training cadre that works to develop the skills of players and players to ensure their presence with national teams and achieve titles despite the difficulties Facing their work.

It is noteworthy that the sport of weight lifting in Salhab Sports Club started in 1992 by conducting exercises and exercises inside the residential houses due to the lack of a gym and in 1998 the club's participation in the Republic Championships began.
