Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Muhammad al-Rahmun stressed the need to strictly implement the content of legislative decrees 3 and 4 of 2020 and Circular No. 83 / r of 2020 on controlling crimes related to dealing in a currency other than the Syrian pound, manipulating exchange rates, and coordinating with the Central Bank of Syria officer.
Minister Rahmoun pointed out during his meeting today with the governorates police leaders, directors of departments, heads of branches and central offices that the ministry’s priorities are to combat crimes in all their forms by available means and capabilities, especially in light of the current circumstances in which Syria is exposed to an economic war that led to the spread of the phenomenon of manipulation of the exchange rate of the national currency in a way that is not Legitimate.
Minister Al-Rahmoun pointed out the importance of partnership between the citizen and the police to maintain security and address crime in its various forms, activate the principle of accountability and emphasize the concepts of values and morals of the policeman.
The Minister of Interior called on police leaders to pay attention to receiving citizens, addressing their problems, meeting their needs and providing the best services related to immigration, passports, traffic, civil affairs and criminal security.
