In a tragic case that occurred in the Tel Sheva community in the Negev, a one-and-a-half-year-old baby girl was killed after a private vehicle struck her inside the settlement. Initial investigations suggest that the toddler was brought unconscious to the local clinic where unsuccessful CPR operations were performed.

Her death was eventually determined by the medical staff at Soroka Hospital. The initial investigation also raised suspicion that the toddler was run over by a relative while playing in the yard. Road accident investigators are now investigating the case.

Israeli police spokesmen from the Negev region said: "The police have opened an investigation by road accident investigators after receiving a report about a one-year-old toddler who needed medical treatment and was brought to a local clinic in Tel Sheva."
