Members of the National People's Association for Democracy and People's Livelihood (ADPL) today (26th) went to the government headquarters to petition the government on the "Budget", which involved five suggestions on social welfare and youth policies.

He also believes that there is an outbreak in the Mainland and there is no free mask for Hong Kong.

Regarding the youth policy proposed by the ADPL, Sham Shui Po District Councillor Li Tingfeng said that the government has always neglected the needs of young people and believes that student loans should be reduced and student loans that require income review should be repaid by the government. With regard to non-means-tested student loans, the ADPL suggests that the government should reduce repayment interest and use the repayment amount as a tax deduction, while waiving the administrative fee for repayment to support college graduates.

Sham Shui Po District Councillor Lee Han Ting said that at present Hong Kong's youth housing and entrepreneurship are difficult, and the government does not respond to young people's grievances in politics and people's livelihood. He pointed out that there is a lot of idle land in the urban area. The same proportion of taxes paid by petty professionals and real estate developers is not in line with the tax system's justice. He proposed that the profits tax should be changed to progressive tax.

Sham Shui Po District Councilor Tan Kwok Kiu said that no matter whether it is the District Council, the Legislative Council, or even the government-appointed scholars, they agree with the universal exemption of retirement protection system, describing it as the consensus of Hong Kong people regardless of party. He called the system a dignified and sustainable retirement protection system, and the government should implement it.
