A statement issued by the Department of Health at 8 pm indicates that the government is aware of and understands the concerns of some residents of the North District on the possible acquisition of Huiming Village. Relevant government departments will be invited to attend the North District Council meeting to explain and discuss this Wednesday. During this period, the government Preparations for Huiming Village will be suspended.

The Department of Health said that according to the current arrangements, close contacts of the CHP on confirmed cases of new coronavirus infection will arrange for them to be admitted to hospital for isolation. For close contacts who do not have symptoms and do not need to be hospitalized for medical treatment, the center will arrange for them to stay in the quarantine center for observation for 14 days after making a health assessment. Priority will be given to requisitioning resorts when arranging quarantine facilities for close contacts who do not have symptoms.

The department said that the current resort of Madame MacLehose has been used as a quarantine center, and the Lei Yue Men Park Resort has also been prepared. Contacts are quarantined.
To meet future isolation needs, the Department of Health is liaising with other non-governmental groups to borrow or requisition their resorts.
