The Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Directorate in Latakia last week organized 296 checks and closed 50 stores for violating commercial activities.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Eng. Iyad Jadid, stated in a statement to correspondence with SANA that 93 regulations were set for not announcing prices, some of them against car offices, 64 for not handling bills, 25 controls for selling at an overpriced price, and refraining from selling.
In the same context, the Directorate seized an authorized source for distributing gas cylinders for a household in the village of Hmeimim in the countryside of Jableh. He declined to distribute 100 gas cylinders to the villagers according to the smart card for the purpose of trading in the market.
