Coincidence or copying? The US Space Sergeant is reminiscent of Star Trek
Trump proudly released the new logo, but surfers have noticed that this is not a particularly original design. Everyone pointed to one thing: the similarity between him and a icon from the famous fiction series. Within minutes, the network made a host of jokes and photos for comparison, and the series actor even joked: "We expect royalties"

US President Donald Trump yesterday revealed on Twitter the new US Space Force emblem and wrote that "after consulting with military and designer leaders, I am pleased to present the logo." The surfers were quick to note that the official US Corps icon appears to have been taken from the Star Trek series.
Quite a few surfers commented on the photo, sharing it alongside the iconic image from the fiction series. Even the original series actor of the 1960s, George Taqay, shared President Trump's post and wrote: "We expect royalties for that." Another surfer joked, writing that the Space Corps "copied Star Trek homework".
