The coalition factions decided to boycott the special session of the Knesset plenary tomorrow (Tuesday) to approve the establishment of the Knesset committee, which is scheduled to discuss Prime Minister Netanyahu's request for immunity.

Coalition chairman MK Mickey Zohar (Likud) said: "The coalition will not participate in plenary hearings for the establishment of the Knesset committee. Bibi'".

Zohar's announcement was made after a consultation with Shas faction leaders, Torah Judaism and the right. MK Maclew (Torah Judaism) said that "we have decided to support the Likud proposal because political moves are aimed at hurting the prime minister."

The absence of 54 coalition representatives from the debate (one Likud representative Yuli Edelstein will chair the debate) will not prevent the Knesset committee's approval, as 65 MKs from all opposition factions support it.

At the same time, the coalition's leadership is also considering boycotting the first session of the Knesset committee on Thursday, convened by President Mandelblit, the Prime Minister and his lawyers.

MK Zohar, who also serves as chairman of the coalition, did not communicate to the Knesset committee director the names of Likud representatives in the committee before the discussions began. Last night Zohar said that "the political circus that is taking place in the Knesset should not be part of us."

At the same time, Likud estimates that Prime Minister Netanyahu will finally withdraw his request for immunity in light of the Knesset committee's convening and the fact that the committee is expected to vote against its request for immunity.

In response, they said in blue and white that "it is a shame that the prime minister continues to despise the Knesset and the democratic regime and refuses his people to participate in the hearing on the request for immunity, immunity he initiated and sought to escape the law. Netanyahu asked for a hearing on his immunity - Netanyahu will accept." Joint Listing Chairman MK Ayman Odeh said that "we will make sure that the corrupt is prosecuted for his crimes." MK Tamar Zandberg (Labor-Bridge-Meretz) said that "the coalition's decision to boycott the debates is an admission of guilt that Netanyahu is putting the Knesset on a disdainful procedure. It would do well if he simply removed the request. "
