This is not the case against anti-Semitism

World leaders have come to Israel to participate in the World Holocaust Forum, but despite the many actions in the war on anti-Semitism, Jews in Israel and around the world are missing out on the essence of the world's hatred for us.

For the first time in history, more than 40 world leaders gathered for the official dinner hosted by the President of the President's House in honor of the International Holocaust Forum, January 22, 2020 (Photo: Photo: Kobe Gideon, Government Press Bureau)

One by one, the air convoy lands on Israeli soil, and on the red carpet do dozens of the world's most important people: kings, regents, presidents, prime ministers, and many other dignitaries, who came to Israel to attend the World Holocaust Forum, this year titled "Remembering the Holocaust, Fighting Anti-Semitism ".

Participants in the sparkling symposium must have good intentions, but not so much anti-Semitism. A new survey by the American Jewish Committee (AJC) published this morning confirms what the ears hear every day: one third of French Jews have been physically attacked, about half considering emigrating. This appalling figure joins the climbing percentage of anti-Semitic attacks and the number of Jews murdered in the past two years, a record of decades.

The vast majority of my family perished in the Holocaust, and the last survivors, my family and the nation in general, are disappearing. In a decade, there will be no one to give a living testimony, but we will sit and archive in the archives to gather evidence. The way to honor these souls, those who died brutally in the Holocaust and those who survived it in the skin of their teeth, does not amount to a festive event for the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp and the Holocaust Memorial Day. Not even tears or slogans of "never again".

To honor the memory of the victims and survivors, to burn the case in the collective memory so that it does not change, to know what to do so that we do not come to such annihilation events again, we must sit down and investigate what happened there, where the problem was created, and why. We must review the history of the Jewish people, and see at a glance that this is not only the Holocaust, but it is a principle rooted throughout our history, a rooted phenomenon of eternal hatred for the Jews, for Israel - both from the nations of the world and from the Jews themselves.

International legislation to combat the phenomenon of anti-Semitism, Holocaust education in schools, increased education for tolerance, stricter penalties for using anti-Semitic stereotypes and banning the sale of neo-Nazi souvenirs - all worthy and proper, but if we do not investigate in depth and investigate the causes, we will not know how to cure the And the next day, the World Holocaust Forum, or any other conference, will again flood the world with a murky wave of anti-Semitism, and again we will face helplessness.

Anti-Semitism is not a passing phenomenon but a "natural law". According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, when we unite ourselves, over disputes and disagreements, a positive power is spreading in the world that can do wonders. In contrast, when we are emotionally separated and distant from one another, we awaken a negative force in the world, which repeatedly strikes us with a burst of anti-Semitism, as evidenced by thousands of cases throughout history.

Even if they are not aware of it, the haters of Israel feel deep in their hearts that we hold the key to their good future. But our ears are deaf. The irrational hatred that arises then yes today reminds us of the hard way we have a role, and although we would love to shake it off, this is impossible. We are a people with an idea, a social ideal of love for man, people and the world. We have become a people on the basis of the love of others expressed through the rule "and love for your neighbor as you", and only the return to this love can excite the hatred of the world towards us.

The Kabbalists explain that we, the Jews, are deciding the fate of the world. "Just as the organs of the body cannot exist for a moment without the heart," the Zohar says, "so all peoples cannot exist in the world without Israel." By uniting us, we oblige the world to unite, and abundance begins to flow. While the schism between us separates them, closes the pipes of abundance and causes wars and hatred.

The scale owner, Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag, of the great Kabbalists in the 20th century writes: And elsewhere he adds that "we are the people of idea," and only when we realize it and unite will we gain peace, peace and sympathy.

I call on all world saviors, all scholars and experts, all anti-Semitic organizations and anyone concerned about the fate of the Jews, to ask again whether we treat this hatred right? Do all the studies and books and summaries and articles and conferences that we have conducted over the decades teach us that we are working in the right direction of erasing and eliminating the ugly phenomenon so that it will never return?

no and no. Anti-Semitism will never remain. Because it is impossible without hate as it is impossible without love. And it is impossible without the Jews as it is impossible without the nations of the world. You just have to know how to balance them, and this is our job, the Jewish people: to build a bridge of peace between these two parts of humanity, to bring about mutual reconciliation and bring peace to us and to the whole world.
