The Indian Embassy in Damascus held a reception on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Day of the Indian Republic, at the Dama Rose Hotel.
The Ambassador of India in Damascus, Dr. Hafizur Rahman stressed in a speech to him that his country respects Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity and renews its support for it in its fight against terrorism in all its forms, expressing his hope that security and stability will prevail in all parts of Syria and return better than it was.
Ambassador Hafizur Rahman stressed the strong and friendly bilateral relations between Syria and India, which are deeply rooted and expanded to social, cultural, economic and scientific ties, noting that his country will actively contribute to the reconstruction.
For his part, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, affirmed that the past years witnessed more cooperation and joint work between the two countries, which is more solid and strong than ever, noting the positions of India and its people in support of Syria during the years of the war on terrorism, especially in international forums and the efforts it exerts in providing Humanitarian aid, especially medical.
Al-Miqdad indicated that the continuation of diplomatic representation at the highest levels during the war on Syria confirms the strength of these developed relations at a time when countries claiming civilization and humanity have withdrawn their ambassadors and imposed unjust economic coercive measures on Syria and its people, stressing that the Syrian Arab Army continues its honorable battles against the enemies of humanity and will not stop Until the cleansing of all lands from the terrorists and restoring security and stability throughout the country.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Rimah Qadri, Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, Communications and Technology Eng.
