The Trump plan has undergone a profound, partly irreversible change of consciousness, even before its details have been released and before it is clear what it can soon implement in the territorial and political arena. More than a quarter of a century ago, there was a change of consciousness in such dimensions on the Palestinian issue in Oslo; The program fixes some of its pitfalls.

In Oslo, Israel recognized the PLO as a negotiating partner, even though Arafat restrained only his public commitment to a terrorist strategy (the "armed struggle") and did not even bother to pretend to abandon Israel's existence (the "right of return"). This issue is worth considering in historical perspective. In 1948, Ben-Gurion and Sharett understood the structural failure of the Palestinian ("Mufti" - Mufti) national movement, and therefore divided the country in partnership with a responsible Arab entity: King Abdullah and his Hashemite kingdom. They too knew that a sovereign Palestinian state would endure the war, because this society would rather harm its Jewish enemies than offer a better future to its children. Today the Palestinians in Gaza prove it.

Even now it is a matter of first-class consciousness. Since Oslo, the PLO and Hamas have shaped the consciousness of the last two generations in the morbid form of worshiping violence and delusions of destruction to Jews. Since then, Oslo has also established that the arrangement must be based on a sovereign Palestinian state, whose starting point is the volume of the "Green Line". Two far-reaching proposals from Israel: one, from Camp David to Taba, which gave them most of this feature; the second, by Ehud Olmert in 2008, which offered them almost all of it.

This pattern was established in the consciousness of the entire world, including Washington and most of the time even in Jerusalem, as an iron sheep property of the Palestinians. It is built on if all the clichés: "We all know what the parameters of the solution are; you just have to realize it." A ride show drops the basis of this cliché. Only serial deniers can now adhere to it - Palestinians, Europeans and others. When the two determining factors - Israel and the United States - reject this paradigm, new options are opened.

Another Washington administration, which seeks to erase Trump's legacy, will not turn away from recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, will not deny Israel's anxieties about the Palestinians' misuse of their sovereignty, recognize the strategic importance of the Jordan Valley, and find it difficult to return to the "Green Line". The plan can be used by a determined, decisive government in Jerusalem to leverage a series of unilateral measures in support of the United States, designed to cut off Palestinians under reasonable security conditions.
